About 5–10 GB for typical use: maps, messaging, social media and photos come to roughly 1 GB a day. Light users who stick to maps and messages can manage on 3 GB. Video on mobile data, video calls or a tethered laptop push a week to 20 GB.

It uses the middle of each app's published or typical range and adds 20% headroom. Real use varies with video quality, app settings and how much happens in the background, so treat it as a sizing guide and round up rather than down.

Video. An hour of Reels or TikTok is roughly 0.6–1.2 GB, and HD streaming can reach 3 GB an hour. Maps, messaging and voice calls use very little by comparison.
