Cabin Mode

Terms of Service

What you get when you buy a Cabin Mode plan, what we are responsible for, and what we are not. Written to be read — the parts that usually bite people are activation, validity and the one-download rule, so they are near the top.

In effect from 16 August 2026

01Who you are agreeing with

Cabin Mode is operated by Webb Ventures US LLC, as a wholly owned subsidiary of, Webb Ventures PTY LTD, 75 E 3rd St, STE 7, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA ("we", "us"). These terms cover the Cabin Mode iPhone app, cabinmode.app, and every data plan bought through either.

Buying a plan or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not buy a plan.

02What Cabin Mode is

We sell prepaid mobile data for travellers, delivered as an eSIM profile you install on your phone. We are a reseller, not a mobile network operator. The data itself runs on networks belonging to operators in each destination, arranged through our wholesale eSIM provider.

That distinction matters in two places. We cannot fix a network outage in another country, and we cannot change what an operator allows on its network. What we can do is issue, replace, top up and refund the plans we sold you.

Cabin Mode is data only. It does not carry voice calls or SMS, and it does not give you a phone number.

03What you need

An eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone. Every iPhone since the XR supports eSIM, and Cabin Mode is currently released for iOS only. If your phone is locked to a carrier, the profile will install but the line will not connect, and that is not a fault we can repair.

You also need Wi-Fi or a working data connection at the moment you install the profile, which is why the app tells you to install before you fly.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the payment method you use must be yours.

04Prices, currency and payment

Our catalog is priced in US dollars. Where we can charge in your own currency we show you the converted price, calculated from European Central Bank reference rates and rounded up to a whole price point. The amount shown on the pay button is the amount charged — we never display one currency and bill another.

Your bank may still apply its own conversion or foreign-transaction fee if your card is denominated in a third currency. That fee is theirs, not ours, and we have no visibility of it.

Payments are processed by Stripe using Apple Pay or a card. We never receive or store your full card number. Prices include any taxes we are required to collect; where a tax is charged it is shown before you pay.

Plans are one-off purchases. There is no subscription, nothing renews automatically, and nothing is charged again unless you buy again.

05Installing the eSIM

An eSIM profile can be downloaded to a device once. That is a restriction of the eSIM standard, not a policy of ours.

So: if you install the profile and then delete it from your phone, the profile is spent and the line cannot be restored by reinstalling it. Contact us and we will look at reissuing it, but we cannot promise the operator will allow it.

Installing does not start your plan and does not consume any of your data.

06When a plan starts, and when it ends

A plan activates on its first connection to a network at your destination — not when you buy it, and not when you install it.

Once activated, the validity period runs continuously in real time. It keeps counting down whether or not you are travelling, whether or not the line is switched on, and whether or not you have used any data.

When the validity period ends, or the data allowance is exhausted, the line stops carrying data. Unused data has no cash value, is not refunded, and does not roll into another plan. A top-up bought after expiry will not revive an expired plan.

Plans that have never been activated do not expire on their own, but the underlying package may be withdrawn by the operator. If that happens before you activate, we will refund you.

07Top-ups

Where a plan supports it, you can add more data to the plan you already have from inside the app. A top-up reuses the same eSIM profile, so there is nothing further to install.

A top-up extends the data allowance. Whether it also extends validity depends on the package, and the app tells you which applies before you pay.

08Coverage, speed and usage

Coverage, network generation and speed depend on the operators in each destination and on where you physically are. We publish what the operator tells us and we do not guarantee it. Signal strength, congestion, indoor coverage, and an operator's own traffic-management policies are outside our control.

Usage figures in the app are reported to us by the operator and typically lag between one and three hours. They are the last figure reported, not a live meter, and the app stamps them with the time they were reported for exactly that reason. We bill nothing on the basis of these figures — your allowance is fixed at purchase — but you should not treat them as exact when you are close to the limit.

Some operators restrict tethering, VoIP, or particular ports. Where we know of a restriction we state it on the plan.

09Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful where you are, or to send anything unlawful across it
  • resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute plans or profiles
  • use a plan in a way designed to circumvent an operator's fair-use or traffic policies, including permanent use of a travel plan in your home country
  • attempt to extract, clone or tamper with an eSIM profile, or interfere with our systems or our provider's
  • use another person's payment method without their authority

If a plan is used this way we may suspend the line. Where the misuse is clear we may terminate it without a refund, and we will tell you why.

10Refunds and cancellation

If the profile has not yet been downloaded to a device, contact us and we will normally cancel the order and refund it in full.

Once the profile has been downloaded, the operator has issued it and our provider has charged us for it. We review these case by case: if the plan does not work and the fault is ours or the network's, you get a refund or a replacement. If the plan works and you simply did not use it, we generally cannot refund it.

Before asking for a refund for a plan that will not connect, please try the three steps in the app's support section — the line set as mobile data, data roaming enabled for that line, and a fresh network search. They resolve most cases, and they resolve them faster than we can.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded by contract, including the Australian Consumer Law guarantees where they apply. Where we are liable under those guarantees you are entitled to the remedy they provide, whatever this section says.

11Support

Support is by email. Write to support@cabinmode.app — from inside the app if you can, because it attaches your order reference and device details automatically and saves a round of questions.

We answer as quickly as we can. We do not promise a response time, and we are not a 24-hour helpdesk.

12Our liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or that a network will be available everywhere you go.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — missed flights, missed bookings, lost business, lost data — arising from a plan that did not work. Our total liability for any claim connected to a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13Changes

We may change these terms. The current version always sits at cabinmode.app/terms with the date it took effect, and the version that applies to a plan is the one published when you bought it. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

We may also change or withdraw plans, prices and destinations at any time. That never changes the price or terms of a plan you have already bought.

14Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for Cabin Mode, and is not responsible for the app, for any plan bought through it, or for any claim relating to either.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own country's law.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
